As promised, the conclusive post of the summer. At some point in June, I decided to make a video distillation of the tour. The soundtrack is "Rebellion" by the Arcade Fire.

Marry me. Leave Kentucky. Come to Tennessee.
It's over. It's all over. We left Louisville yesterday and drove home to Nashville.
We spent our final days of the tour in Boston with Megan and Joel. Imagine a weekend spent in an amazing city with your best friends. Imagine it, because I accidentally deleted the pictures from the camera. They were some of the best pictures of the summer, and now they're gone. Since I believe that it didn't happen unless I can post it on the internet, I have redrawn our experience there, in the style of Sam Brown.
What's great about Megan and Joel is that they're from Louisiana, where life is full of delicious food. Coincidentally, life in Louisiana is also full of heart disease, but that is neither here nor there. We spent a lot of time eating. Whether it was the best pizza in the world from the Corner Grille in Worcester, or a cajun feast prepared by Megan and Joel themselves, or authentic chinese food from Chinatown, we were eating it like it was the last supper.
We also took the opportunity to walk around the city and visit the Atlantic Ocean. The truth is that we could have done very little and still had the most amazing time, because Joel and Megan are some of our best friends. Here's the big picture loss from the weekend: personal portraits with fortune cookie prophecies.
We stopped for shows in Ohio and Kentucky on the way home, and visited the hotel/museum 21c. I don't have many pictures, but you'll see some video soon. I'm flying to Louisiana to take care of wedding stuff today, but when I return I'll post a special blog finale. Wait for it.
