i know you've eagerly awaited the revival of this blog, that first post that tells you what you thought was dead, is in fact, quite alive. puppet tour 2010 isn't just alive; it's unstoppable. seriously, check out the google map.

life has been abuzz with pretour preparation, and memorial day celebration. we polished off our last weekend in nashville with a cornhole tournament at elizabeth's house.

after cornhole, matt slipped away to compete in a tournament of his own: texas hold 'em. being the man's man that he is, matt's most recent favorite past-time is online poker. his internet handle is workingman, which stems from his obsession with the 9,5 hand. 9 to 5. get it? if you happen to be playing at his table and he goes all in... well.

he got 2nd place! out of 60! and the grand prize was a laptop! i mean, am i crazy, or did we come pretty close to getting laptop number 2?

to finish out the holiday weekend, we adorned our place with deflated balloons and hosted a birthday brunch for jane this morning. we're not lazy, we just wanted to accommodate her personal fear of sudden popping noises. breakfast was homemade biscuits and huevos rancheros, and we feasted with the nashville family one last time before heading out. tomorrow, memphis, day 1.
